Easter 2016

This is Alexis's Easter basket.  She got her first bunny last year and loved it so much that the Easter Bunny brought her 3 new ones this year.

Jaxon was of course indifferent to Easter this year but in a few years he will love it as much as Alexis does.

Alexis was very excited to see the new bunnies and candy.

She was the most excited to see that she got a big chocolate bunny in her basket.  That was her favorite candy item last year and she has talked about it several times since then.

She unwrapped all her candy right away but didn't eat much of it.

She got all her bunnies together and gave them all a piece of her candy.  It was sooooo cute!

She looks so pretty in her new Easter dress!

Easter Egg Hunt

Grandma Janice had an Easter Egg Hunt at her house.  Alexis loved it last year and loved it even more this year.

It was so fun to see the kids having such a good time looking for the Easter Eggs that were hidden all over the backyard.

Brett had to help her a little =)

It was a beautiful day!

Grandma Janice and Grandpa Ray with Abram, Aila, Emerson, Alexis and Jaxon.

Her favorite part may have been putting the money from her eggs in her piggy bank!

I am glad she likes putting money in her piggy bank.  Hopefully she will be a good saver =)

Alexis Turns 3!

I can hardly believe Alexis is 3.  The time has just gone by so fast.

I took Alexis to ride the train and carousel that she loves but unfortunately the train was not running. Anytime she has gone on the carousel she just wanted to ride on a bench. She has never actually gone on one of the animals.  Today she wanted to ride on the rabbit.  Of course it was a day that Jaxon was with us.  It was a little hard lifting her up onto the rabbit while holding Jaxon but I was able to do it and she had so much fun.  She was so excited when she told Brett she rode the rabbit.

She wanted pizza again!

Of course she loved opening more presents =)

She loves the song, "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star". I found a cute little book that plays the song and she loves it.  She was so happy when she opened it.

Alexis was so lucky to get a play pizza from her Auntie Rachel, Uncle Trav, Audrey, Phoenix and Felicity.  She loves making pizza and there are so many ingredients she can put on it!

She was also lucky to get a Caillou book and Caillou bath toy from her Auntie Michelle and Uncle Kevin.  She has had some issues taking a bath since Jaxon was born but ever since she got the Caillou toy, she has been taking baths with no problem =)

I love Alexis so much and really can't believe she is 3 years old already.   She keeps my days interesting and there is never a dull moment when she is around.  I love how sweet and caring she is and how much she adores Jaxon.

Alexis's 3rd Birthday Party

We had a birthday party for Alexis the weekend before her actual birthday.  She has recently started to really like the show, "Peppa Pig" so of course she wanted that as the theme to her party.

She really enjoyed playing with her balloons!

She loved sitting at her little table and eating pizza with Abram and Aila.  They were all so cute!

She got lots of presents and loved unwrapping them!

She has been asking for a blue bike since we visited North Carolina last fall,  She finally got one and she loves it!

Alexis was very excited to blow out her candles.

.......and even more excited to eat her cupcake and ice cream =)

Alexis wanted Grandpa Ray to help her with one of her toys.

This is a picture of Janice with her 2 youngest grandkids, Alexis and Jaxon,  2 of her great grandchildren, Aila and Emerson and Brett =)

Alexis got this adorable dress from Cessiley and Nate!

Jaxon's Blessing

We blessed Jaxon on Sunday, March 6, 2016.  He scratched himself right in the middle of his head basically right before we left for church.

The blessing that Brett gave Jaxon was so nice.  I held Jaxon the rest of the meeting and just remember feeling so grateful that I can be his mother.

Dad's Visit

My dad was able to come for a short visit when we blessed Jaxon.  Alexis was very eager to help him make chocolate chip cookies.  She still talks about it and keeps asking if she can do it again.

My dad certainly has more patience than I do.  He was very nice to let Alexis help him and stir the batter herself.

She had to give him a check-up.... of course!

Even though his visit was very short, I am glad he could come and spend some time with us and meet Jaxon.

Alexis and Jaxon

Alexis is so sweet and gentle with Jaxon.  She loves to "look at him".  When she asks to looks at him, she gets really close to his face and looks right in his eyes.

Jaxon loves watching Alexis.  He watches her a lot and smiles.

She LOVES giving him check-ups!  She got a doctor set for Christmas and always wants to use it.  It is funny to me because she is really against going to the doctor herself.

I love this picture so much.
