Summer 2017

We have been taking it easy for the most part this summer.  There have been a few weeks that have been especially hot and uncomfortable.  Jaxon has been getting into everything.... literally!

Alexis has started to want to wear jewelry sometimes.  She has 3 rings on here and is enjoying some M&M's that Janice gave her.

It is so hard to get a picture with both of the kids looking at the camera.  Usually one is looking at the camera and the other is looking somewhere else.

Alexis gave her first talk in Primary at church.  She was so excited!  She did a great job!

Alexis and Jaxon playing with their cousin, Alex, at Janice and Ray's house.

They had so much fun!

Trip to Utah June 2017

Our nephew got married in June.  We were happy to be able to take a trip to Utah!  We were able to be there a few days.  The first day we went to the zoo.  Alexis knew we were going before we left California and made sure to bring her binoculars.  It was so cute.  It totally reminded me of Audrey.

Jaxon loved seeing the giraffes the most.  The kids didn't sleep well the night before so Jaxon didn't last too long at the zoo.  Thankfully he ended up falling asleep in the stroller and taking a really long nap.  He definitely needed to.  Traveling with little kids is so hard!

I let Alexis pick out something from the zoo gift shop.  She chose a set with a plastic egg, caterpillar, cocoon and butterfly.  I thought it was so cute.  She is holding the butterfly and egg in this picture. We were headed to a family dinner the night before the wedding.  The kids were so good!

We were so lucky to be able to see John and Henrik between the wedding and the reception. We went to John's apartment and then went and had some great pizza for lunch. After we ate we went back to John's and the kids played.  It was so fun!

Huck was very good about sharing all his toys and peanut butter cups.

It was so fun seeing the kids play together.

Huck is such a sweet little boy.  I am so glad we got the chance to see him and spend some time with him.

Alexis was excited to find a Barbie doll that someone had left out.  She enjoyed playing with it while we were there.

Huck and Alexis had so much fun together.   Hopefully we can see John and Huck again soon!

On the plane to go back to California.  Alexis was great on the flights.  Jaxon didn't do as well but at least the flight was only about an hour.  He is definitely at an age when it is a little more difficult to travel.  I am glad we had the chance to go.  It was nice to see everyone.

Spring 2017

After over 4 years it was time for Alexis to get a little hair trim.  Her hair is getting so long but it needed to be evened out on the ends.

She was so brave when she got her hair trimmed.  I was so proud of her!

Alexis has become so brave in a lot of different situations lately.  When she was younger and we would go to the doctor for a check-up she would start crying before we even walked into the building. When Jaxon was born she cried and cried when she came to see him because she was scared of being in the hospital. She recently had to get some blood taken and I can't even believe how brave she was. She was very happy that she got some pink tape on her arm.

I told her she could get a treat for being so brave and she wanted "cow ice cream".  "Cow ice cream" is Ben & Jerry's Phish Food.  It is her favorite kind of ice cream.  She deserved it for being so good!

This was right after Jaxon got his second hair cut.  He cried the whole time!

He sure looks cute though ❤

Easter 2017

It was basically impossible to get a decent picture of Alexis and Jaxon together before we left for church.  This was the best I could do!

Jaxon fell asleep on the way home from church so Alexis had some time to herself to look at her basket when we got home.  She loves setting her candy up so her bunnies can eat some.

She was excited to get an Easter book this year!

Jaxon was pretty interested in his basket when he woke up from his nap.

Alexis was excited to be able to help him see what was in his basket.

It's hard to see in this picture but Jaxon is holding a little chocolate egg.  He didn't want to let it go.  I think it ended up melting because he was holding it for so long.

Easter Egg Hunt 2017

Janice is so nice to have an Easter Egg hunt at her house every year.  This was the first year Jaxon could actually participate in the fun and he had a great time.

Alexis always has a great time!

It is so fun helping them put the coins from the eggs into their piggy banks.

Alexis has always had so much fun doing this!

Alexis and Jaxon are so sweet together.  I love it when Jaxon will just go and sit on Alexis' lap. I hope they always have a close relationship.

Alexis turns 4!

Oh my goodness!  I can't believe Alexis is already 4.  It seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital.  Where has the time gone.  We had a big family birthday party for her about a week before her birthday.  She wanted to wear her hair like Anna (from Frozen)

Her favorite part was opening presents.

I was so proud of her for letting Jaxon help her open some of her presents.  I guess it was only fair since she helped him on his birthday but she was so sweet about it that it made me really happy.

She was so excited when she opened this present.  It was set of little "Frozen" characters that she had spotted in Target and wanted.  It was so nice of Janice and Ray to get it for her!

She got this little ladybug flashlight from Lesley and Mark.  She loves it!

Jaxon was so interested in what was going on.  They were so sweet together.

Alexis requested chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting.  I also love this picture because Jaxon is sitting on Ray's lap in the background and they are reading a book together.

We had our own little family celebration on her actual birthday.

She requested to start the day out with a donut.

She was so generous to let Jaxon have a few bites!

She helped me decorate her cake.  She did a great job!

She enjoyed opening her presents.

One of her presents was an Elsa dress with a cape and crown.  She was so excited to get this and after she ate some cake she wanted to watch "Frozen" and sing and dance along.

We had originally wanted to take her to ride the train and the carousel on her birthday but it was raining so we had to go the next week.  She loved it.

Jaxon had a great time too!
